Coal Education Grant

Phase I

Grants are made available to teachers in all grades in schools in Western KY coal-producing counties:
Henderson, Hopkins, Union, and Webster. Teachers may apply for funds to present a unit in their
classrooms that may cover areas of study such as:

Phase II

Students may submit projects as a result of the study of coal units in their classrooms, in the following
academic areas:

Phase III

May 5, 2025 – Students will bring projects to Madisonville Community College and set up.
